Air handler Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

An air handler, or air handling unit (often abbreviated to AHU), is a device used to regulate and circulate air as part of a heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system.[1] An air handler is usually a large metal box containing a blower, heating or cooling elements, filter racks or chambers, sound attenuators, and dampers. Air handlers usually connect to a ductwork ventilation system that distributes the conditioned air through the building and return it to the AHU. Sometimes AHUs discharge (supply) and admit (return) air directly to and from the space served without ductwork.

Ed Sulivan high technologies, health care, based writer of EHS mention some of the dangers and Potential Hazards of Air Handlers:

Maser, a certified industrial hygienist with over 30 years of experience in the fields of environmental, fire protection, industrial hygiene, and safety compliance, knows that the likely culprit in such air contamination cases is the air handler's condensate pan or “drip pan” that is supposed to catch condensation moisture released from the air handler. It is vital that the condensate pan provides for proper water drainage. Yet, having conducted many indoor environmental air quality studies and consulting on bioaerosol cases, Maser knows that air handler condensate pans can be poorly designed or inadequately serviced.

“In the presence of stagnant water, the dirt that is normally present in an air handler is a food source for various biological agents, not only molds and fungi but also strains of bacteria,” says Maser. “And because you have this continuous moisture content, you get unwanted and possibly unhealthy biological growth in the pan, which could eventually cross-contaminate the ductwork and possibly even the filters.”

In addition to allergic reactions and other health issues, a “sick” building caused by air handlers with stagnant water due to leaking or clogged condensate pans can make building inhabitants feel tired or lethargic.

Driver (Former Employee) says

"delivering packages, working wit customers and vendors, fun environment, lots of potential, if you put in the effort. Some issues with managemnt but not bad."

Fulltime driver.... so I was told (Former Employee) says

"Talk about your all time joke. Was hired full time November of 2020 as a full time driver, once Jan 2021 hit, no hours at all. While some colleagues got laid off, I was left hanging, on a "text in" basis. Can't feed a family on good intentions."

UPS Package Handler (Current Employee) says

"Ups is filled with incompetence and a lack of care for the employees inside. Management runs a horrible operation that leads to disorganization, unsafe work Cons: Short break. Terrible hours. Horrible management"

CSA (Former Employee) says

"If anyone has noticed a decrease in the quality of UPS customer service it's because they reduced wages and the senior staff has left, including me."

Logistics Supervisor (Current Employee) says

"Horrible place to work, it’s tough and unforgiving. Upper management will have you back as long it counts for them. No proper time to actually train new employees so most books are made up. Go in there knowing it’s for benefits and it will take years to go anywhere. Cons: Cleanliness"

Preloader/Package Handler (Former Employee) says

"minimal to no training. Cons: favoritism"

Cover Driver (Former Employee) says

"Horrible place to work for. I applied to be a driver, went through a week's worth of training and sat through 9 hour seminars just to be thrown on the preload shift for a month. Despite them telling me I would be on the road right after training. I would think I would be on the road the soonest out of all people because I was the first one in the class to pass my driver's quizzes also know as the 5's & 10's.They told me I would get 3 ride alongs with an experienced driver and then I would be on the road solo as a cover driver which would eventually turn into a full time position. Nope. I only had 1 ride along and every time I would ask when I'm getting my other 2 I would get the run around for the next 3 weeks while I saw other people in my class becoming drivers in less time. Not only that they didn't tell me the preload shift was starting at like 3:45 in the morning. I don't have a car so not only were there no buses available , Uber and Lyfts were basically non existent around this time as well. And the job was an hour walk away from my house. They work you to death during preload, you get NO breaks and they send you any and everywhere all over the building. And forget about benefits, you won't get those as a driver until after 9 months. I was also lied to about how much I would be getting paid as well. Long story short DONT WORK HERE. Cons: Very unorganized and misleading"

Package Handler/ Pick -Off (Current Employee) says

"Awful management! Under paided! Worked like live stock! Very unsafe working conditions must of the time. No chances for advancement or you have to wait years. Cons: Under paided"

Package Handler (Former Employee) says

"Very rude, and disrespectful managers/supervisors. I worked for 1 month without being paid. Zero commitment and reliability, people are treated like bonded labor."

Driver/Delivery (Current Employee) says

"Management doesn't care about the employees. They tell you that you are full time but hours get cut often. They don't treat the employees like human beings. We are all robots to them. Cons: Long hours, time management"

Build and Systems Engineering Supervisor (Former Employee) says

"UPS has a very unfriendly and toxic culture. Full-time management always blames the part-time managment. Full-time management does not support the part-time managment and unionized employees. Low salary for a job that requires engineering degree from a university. Part-time plant engineering supervisor is the worst job at UPS. No promotion with high turn over Cons: Salary, hours and full-time management"

PT Evening Package Sorter (Former Employee) says

"Worked Part-Time during the evening unload "Metro Shift" at UPS-Poughkeepsie NY. Experience was terrible! Cold, unsafe conditions with terrible pay. Though the Union Medical Coverage was affordable & solid, I would NOT recommend this job to anyone. Cons: Physically demanding, cold & unsafe working conditions, terrible pay"

Preloader (Former Employee) says

"Management does not care about the well being of their workers nor do they appreciate the work you do or done. UPS just want you to work and do what they say have you doing more work then others and don’t even tell you good job. Cons: Manager, Management"

Delivery Driver (Current Employee) says

"Do not give full work hours in the week and i still see they are hiring"

Preloader (Former Employee) says

"The job with ups was work to say the most I wold always be there. But never got the time on the clock to make money. I was hired on for Christmas. Then Christmas was over they cut my time to next of nothing. I was promised to be permanent but they let me go. To some up ups there managers are a joke they do not support the help they always blame the help. In short term if you are not a teamster is the union you are expendable. Cons: Horrible work conditions"

Floor Jammer (Former Employee) says

"i would work tons of hours and they told me i had bonuses and all but i never saw it any of my checks. i also didn’t receive my check for over 3 weeks when it’s supposed to be weekly pay. security always had a problem with me for anything i did, but would let other kids do the same thing and scream in my face no. Cons: no time at breaks."

Supervisor (Former Employee) says

"Worst job I've ever had. Turnover is staggering. I was a Supervisor and there are zero opportunities for advancement. Employees treated as worthless objects. Teamsters Union seems to run everything and always protect bad employees. Upper Management is verbally abusive and really good employees and Supervisors are not recognized for excellent work. UPS caters to the lowest common denominator. Pay is bad and they insist on everyone working only part-time. Work for UPS and you will experience "indentured servitude", a horrible company to work for. Cons: Strange shift hours, bad pay, no advancement opportunities, no recognition for good work."

Package Handler (Current Employee) says

"Worst company to work for ever. Management and Supervisors treat employees like slaves, a lot of favouritism there. If your new to the country or desperate for a job than that’s the right place for you otherwise stay away. They don’t train you properly and when you make mistakes supervisors hound on you like dog. They expect you to load and unload trailers by yourself at a fast paced with no assistance. Stay away from this place. Cons: Horrible management"

SFDC Developer (Former Employee) says

"very terrible job, management was terrible, but good pay good people to be around, managers will abuse you if given the chace, id reccomend it for har Cons: dfswefwefewfw"

Helper Coordinator (Former Employee) says

"As one of the helper coordinators for peak season we received very little training. Work environment was toxic and the regional manager was cruel to his employees."

Former Employee - Air Handler says

"I worked at AAON full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Supervisors try to keep workers from advancement and learning. Hardly no raises."
